Don't follow your passion, follow your effort
You've probably heard it hundreds of times. Especially from people who've already found their passions. And I plead guilty, too. But isn't that the most obvious and useless advice at the same time?
If you think about it for two seconds. If someone hasn't found "his passion", there's no point in telling him "you have to find your passion". It's like saying to someone who wants to lose weight, "you should be careful what you eat". What's the point?
However, we can take the approach of Mark Cubain, who proposes to follow, not your passion, but your efforts. And double down your investment there.
The things I ended up being really good at were the things I found myself putting effort into. A lot of people talk about passion, but that’s really not what you need to focus on. You really need to evaluate and say, ‘Okay, where am I putting in my time?’ Because when you look at where you put in your time, where you put in your effort, that tends to be the things that you are good at. And if you put in enough time, you tend to get really good at it.
The other good thing is that if you put in the necessary time, and you become really good, then you won't give up so easily. Nobody gives up anything they're good at because it's fun to be good. It's fun to be one of the best.
Don't follow your passion, follow your effort.

The date that marks the day when humanity has consumed all the resources that ecosystems can produce in a year should fall on 22 August.
"This shows that large and rapid changes are possible. But this reduction in our ecological footprint is imposed and unintended, and because it is not accompanied by systemic change in our production and consumption patterns, it will not last," says Mathis Wackernagel, President of the Global Footprint Network.
This decline, which constitutes a "historic reversal" of the long-term trend of increasing global ecological footprint, is due to the containment measures that were put in place around the world in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, these calculations are highly uncertain.

1) the monster's name and what it looks like
2) where it lives
3) what it likes doing
...and he'll paint it for you!
These drawings are all more creative than each other. The best part? The money we raise goes to Virgin Money for the NHS Association!
