Every professional was once an amateur, every master started as a beginner
We often tend to look at the "finished product" as if it were a first draft. We want to get back in shape but we look at the "fitness instagrameur" trains all day long. We want to start making videos, but we watch this youtubeur that started 10 years ago. We want to wake up earlier, but we discover the morning routine of the big boys of this world. And then we give up.
But every professional was once an amateur, every master started as a beginner. It's important to remember that so we don't get afraid to go for it. The key is to take the first step, to make the first move. All change is hard at first, messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end.
You can also take the problem the other way around. It only takes 20 hours to learn a new skill and 20 hours is “only” 40 minutes per day for 1 month.
If you really (really) want to do something, it's worth spending 3% of your day on it, isn't it?

ONE VIDEO TO WATCH
Stephen Duneier is a an expert institutional investor and also a large scale installation artist, avid outdoorsman, professor, decision strategist, coach, business leader, mindfulness extremist, author, speaker, daredevil or Guinness world record holder. Clearly, this dude's not joking at all!
This TEDx you are about to see (or hear), is one of my favorites. In order to appreciate it at its true value, it is important that you listen to it carefully until the end.
Stephen explains that what truly defines him aren't titles, but an approach to decision making that transformed him from someone who struggled with simple tasks to a guy who is continuously achieving even his most ambitious dreams. For thirty years, he has applied cognitive science to investing, business and life. Fascinating!
