For the past 5 years, I have been identified as a productive guy, who always has a system to improve himself or who controls all aspects of his life. I'm not gonna lie, there's a lot of truth in that. But "with great power comes a dark side".
I'll give you the example of this morning. At the end of my morning routine, I do my morning pages. Basically, I empty my mind of paper for 30 minutes. This is beneficial in many ways (I'll talk about it in a future newsletter) and it allows to detect patterns of thought.
This morning I wrote:
I haven't made any progress on my bucket list since I got back to Paris...
I feel like I don't spend enough time on Timeleft...
I'm not consistent enough in my morning routine.
I can't fit all my workout sessions into my week.
I don't know what I'm going to do in August and September...
I still drink too much alcohol on average over the week (so I can't keep up with my caloric deficit)
As you can see, I'm extremely hard on myself. Except if you look at the details of what I've done in my week, you get tired just thinking about it. It's the whole paradox of highly productive people. The more productive you become, the more things you do, the more things you do, the more things you want to do. Like a never-ending race...
If you are in the same situation as I am, I advise you to do what I do: put it in writing to try to make things "objective" and especially to talk about it openly around you.

ONE TEXT TO READ
“Two unhappy persons meeting cannot make each other happy; they will become doubly unhappy, that’s all. It is simple arithmetic. They will become very unhappy. Not only doubled, in fact, their unhappiness will be multiplied because their unhappinesses will clash. They will be angry at each other. They will take revenge on each other. They will think the other has been a cheat, because “the other promised me a garden of roses, and there seems to be no possibility of any delivery.” All promises prove false, because out of unhappiness how can you promise? Out of unhappiness how can you give? You don’t have it in the first place, how can you share? You share only that which you have. If you are happy, you share happiness. If you are unhappy, you share unhappiness. If you are sad, you share sadness.”

ONE VIDEO TO WATCH
Apple’s WWDC 2020 was unique before it even began. It’s the first time Apple’s developer conference has been streamed exclusively online with no in-person event. Regardless, there were some big announcements, including some you might have been expecting and others that might catch you by surprise.
ONE QUESTION TO ASK YOURSELF
What do you really wish you had the courage to do?

ONE INSTAGRAM TO FOLLOW
Surely you've heard of the "dry month"? The idea is to go a month without drinking alcohol. Usually in January, after the holiday season. Veganuary is the same principle but for the consumption of meat / animal flesh.
The instagram account started initially just for January, but it has grown in scope. If you're a vegan, this account's for you. If you're interested in veganism, it's for you too!
