Since I've taken a close interest in nutrition and our unconscious habits, I've realized something. It's been right there in front of my eyes the whole time. It's two elements that go together :
We think that willpower will help us to go all the way. The willpower makes us start, it is the system that makes us finish.
A good diet doesn't start on the plate, but at the supermarket.
Think about it for a second. It sounds stupid, but it's so true. If you don't buy this pack of cookies, it won't be in your closet, it won't make big headlight calls, it won't test your willpower. I've experienced it myself. I bought chocolate bars to see how long my will will hold. Painful failure!
So if you want to change your eating habits, don't tempt the devil. Change "your system" starting with your purchases at the supermarket. Just don‘t buy it !

ONE BOOK TO READ
That was the subject of my newsletter #005, I get back to you on that. It's one of my biggest "life" projects: getting up early for several weeks in a row to experience the "5am club”. But I'm in permanent failure….
I was recommended this book, which I devoured from cover to cover. I highlighted hundreds of passages and redesigned my morning routine! I had never tried it because I didn't believe in it, but I put in 20 minutes of workout as soon as I woke up to sweat. This allows the blood to circulate, boosts your energy and thus prevents you from falling back into a deep sleep as soon as the mediation is over.
Anyway, I strongly recommend this book and here are a few quotes to motivate you to read it.
In a culture of cyber-zombies, addicted to distraction and afflicted with interruption, the wisest way to guarantee that you consistently produce mastery-level results in the most important areas of your professional and personal life is to install a world-class morning routine. Winning starts at your beginning. And your first hours are when heroes are made. Wage a war against weakness and launch a campaign against fearfulness. You truly can get up early. And doing so is a necessity in your awesome pursuit toward legendary. Take excellent care of the front end of your day, and the rest of your day will pretty much take care of itself. Own your morning. Elevate your life.
When we observe magnificent players in business, sport, science and the arts we are observing the earned results of a monomaniacal concentration around a single pursuit, astronomical focus on one skill, intensity of sacrifice applied to one aim, unusual levels of deep preparation and extreme amounts of solid patience. Remember, every professional was once an amateur, and every master started as a beginner. Ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary feats, once they’ve routinized the right habits.
Tomorrow is a promise, not a fact. Enjoy every morning and appreciate each day you have on Earth. Take bold risks yet hedge them with common sense. Balance living like there is no tomorrow with behaving like you’ll live forever. So that when the end does come, you’ll know you lived your life as a majestic testimony to the capacity for legendary that every human being carries inside of them.
ONE QUESTION TO ASK YOURSELF
Did you enjoy the good things today? Because nothing lasts forever.

This guy is mind-blowing. He is the first Iceman of Antarctica. What is it ? It’s not an official race or competition, but an ordinary guy, achieving the extraordinary by swimming 3.9 km in ice water, biking 180 km and running 42.2 km in ice and snow on Antarctica’s glacial surface in February 2020. Yes, you read it right!
“Today, we often put boundaries on ourselves or other people, making up limitations of what is achievable. But I want to show that limitations are only perceptions of what we can achieve. That even the ordinary can achieve the extraordinary through passion, extreme dedication, supreme planning, and an immense belief in yourself.”
